WELCOME TO BELINDA’s SPACE

Sometimes I find it hard to explain who I am and what I do, and more importantly, how I can help you through the changes you are going through that led you to look for someone like me. There are so many websites and social media profiles all claiming the same thing, shouting loudly to get attention, wellness, yoga, self-help gurus, that it’s hard to get your voice heard through all of that. And I don’t want to be part of that - I’m a strong advocate of honesty, celebrating your individuality, being your authentic self - so part of me doesn’t want to join in the marketing game at all. But you wouldn’t have ended up reading this otherwise…

I am Belinda. I'm a firm believer in shaping your own life, ikigai, the healing power of nature, yoga, eating your greens, and being green. In 2018 I upped and left my life in the UK and came to Portugal and created a new one. And I can help you to do that too. If that’s what you’d like. During the process, I spent a lot of time in nature, a lot of time doing (and teaching) yoga, a lot of time meditating, and I (re)discovered who I am and who I was meant to be, what I wasn’t and how I wasn’t meant to be. And I can help you to work that out for yourself too.

My purpose is to help other people find their purpose, to make a difference to others so that collectively we can all make a difference for each other.

My background

I have been coaching people through personal, life, career and business change since 2010. During that time I began to realise that a common theme among my clients was that they felt a bit lost, or no longer knew who they were or what made them happy. My coaching became about helping them to find balance, to rediscover what gets them out of bed in the morning - their ikigai. I've also been through my own difficult patches, including a redundancy and a divorce, which led me to make big changes in my life in my early 40s. That's when I discovered the internal healing powers of yoga and nature, and what eventually led me to Portugal and to create Relaxscape, a space where people could retreat to nature and rediscover themselves.

I used to work in London as a headhunter, helping to build and develop management teams across FTSE businesses, and qualified as a leadership, career and business coach in 2010. I have a Masters in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh, and am a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor too. Most recently I have become an olive farmer , holistic nature therapist and poet - at Relaxscape I like to say that I run a forest school for adults!
