POEM - KALEIDOSCOPE

The sun is shining
A kaleidoscope behind my eyes
Where I lose myself in tunnels
Of flashing light, bright fractals
Moving in and out, swallowing
Me and spitting me out again.
I’m in the pure heart centre of
A finely formed flower,
Flying through space
On a spider’s web,
I’m a bee heading back to base
Brushing its pollen laden wing
Against a honeycomb tower.
I am night, I am day
I am the stars of the Milky Way.
I am the language of all life,
The music of the universe.
I am Nature’s perfect geometry,
We draw the world together,
With every breath we sing.
